Himachal Pradesh:Youth should channelize their energy for nation building: Acharya Devvrat

Youth are asset of the nation and play a vital role in development and progress of the country, thus they should stay away from drug abuse and use their energy for constructive purpose. This was stated by Governor Acharya Devvrat while participating as Chief Guest during the function organised by Sanskar Organization at Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district to honour meritorious students of the district. Former Vice Chancellor, Dr. Y.S. Parmar Forestry and Horticulture University Nauni Dr. K.R. Dhiman was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Acharya Devvrat said that though our nation had progressed a lot, as per physical achievement, but it was unfortunate that there was degradation of human values. He said that the people should preserve rich culture and values of the country. He said that Himachal Pradesh was known as ‘Dev Bhoomi’ and people should collectively fight various social evils for building a strong, vibrant and peaceful society.
Laying stress on organic and zero budget farming, Acharya Devvrat said that it was vital to rear cattle, especially Indian cow. He said that special campaign was being launched in the State for zero budget farming for benefit of the farmers. He urged the people for planting trees on special occasion, such as birthdays and anniversaries for environmental conservation.
Governor honoured thirteen meritorious students of ten plus two and tenth standard from the district on the occasion by presenting them memento. Similarly, over 100 meritorious students were honoured for securing first passion at Sub Division level.
Governor announced Rs One lakh for the Organization for effectively carrying it activities.
Founder Sanskar Organization Shri Mahender Darmani welcomed the Chief Guest and detailed various activities being undertaken by the Organization.
Former MP Shri Suresh Chandel, Members of Organization Shri Rajender Garg, Shri Kundan Rattan and Shri Rakesh and other eminent people were present on the occasion.
