Vikrant Kumar, son of former Himachal Ranji player Rajkumar, died in a fatal car accident on 28th September night in Una. He was a budding star cricketer from Himachal who used to hit huge sixes and fours. He scored 509 runs in 2014-15 National Cricket games and 114 runs in 4 matches during 2015-16. He also scored 496 runs during 2014-16 inter district senior matches and took 19 wickets as well.
As his friends say he was a jolly guy who loved to entertain people around him. A huge fan of Kevin Peterson that he had a tattoo imprinted on his arm with the name Peter, of his ideal. Plus his friends used to call him Peter as well. His passion for cricket was obvious as his father is a former Ranji player from Himachal and is currenlty a curator in HPCA. His younger brother, Gaurav, too has played in U-19 cricket tournaments in the state and will be playing his very first U-23 tournament nationally this year.
The demise of such a good cricketer has left everyone in shock. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association has expressed its grief on the loss of Vikrant Kumar.
